1st Training Module in Scanning Electron Microscopy

The BioIMG Network, in partnership with the UFMG Center for Microscopy, hosted the first thematic training module in Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) for Life Sciences. The program combined online theoretical activities with an intensive in-person hands-on module, offering participants a solid foundation in SEM principles, sample preparation workflows, and image acquisition.

  • Principles and applications of SEM.
  • Sample preparation techniques.
  • Image acquisition and evaluation.
  • Best practices for SEM in life science research.

 

Highlights:

  • 264 participants from 19 Brazilian states.
  • 15 trainees selected for hands-on practice.
  • 40 hours of in-person hands-on training.
  • 6 hours of live online sessions with specialists.
  • 4 hours of video content available on YouTube.
  • 2,346 views of the recorded materials.
